Change is inevitable

I have been bombarded with change this year. It’s coming from all angles and I am quite impressed with how I have learnt to adapt myself to the scenarios playing out around me. At first I struggled, I admit, January 2020 was not my month at all. Yet experiencing the way I had to adapt and so quickly has shown me how resilient I actually am, even if I do put up one hell of a fight to resist at first.

Rome was not built in a day they say, and neither can a successful life. It takes long hours of planning and executing, of blood, sweat and tears. It’s not going to fall into your lap, you have to want it. I know I’m always going on about doing the work needed to become the person you dream to be and that’s because I live it, I see the changes unfolding in me each day. I see how I go back and forward in change and how it takes time for me to actually grow and grasp new ideas, because the old ideas are so deeply rooted in me that ripping them out takes time and technique. The plan is to leave no weeds in this garden, to take care of the new me more.

I really wish I could tell you that its easy. I can’t though, because its really not. It’s difficult to heal and change. It’s difficult to pull yourself out of pain, You have to want to do it and then you have to find wasy that work for you.

You have to see the need for growth first and you have to embrace the journey. You are not going to enjoy every step you take but you have to learn to endure the difficult changes in order to get to the flowers and the easy parts. Sometimes that job that you hate is preparing you for the one that you will love. Sometimes that change they made, that works on your nerves is teaching you how to embrace patience.

One thing that is for sure, change will come. Whether it’s good or bad and you have to find a way to learn the lesson and embrace the change for that period or you will continue to feel the pain underlying the need to resist everything that comes your way. You cant hold onto anything in this lifetime, because nothing is forever.

Your job will change, your friends will change, your family too. Your cars will change, your thoughts will change, your body will change and so will the weather, your garden and every other thing or person you encounter. Your experience will be determenied by how you embrace the changes happening around you. I assure you the more you resist, the unhappier you will be.

Love and light
