New Years Eve

It’s the final day of 2018 and I have reflected on my year with great pride. This year was one with many changes and accomplishments, some bigger than others but all equally important in the greater scheme of my life. There was also plenty that I had hoped to accomplish but did not and will continue to pursue these dreams in 2019 because not everything can be done on my timeline. Some things take longer and I find that those things that take the most time have the greatest rewards.

I’ve met some amazing people, I’ve been to places that I had never been before, I’ve had a career change, my hair is finally all natural and I’ve managed to embrace it in all its wildness. I was celebrated this year by unexpected people and disappointed by unexpected people, but in both of these scenarios I was blessed with lessons of love and light. Things have been made clear to me and every negative experience has had a positive outcome for me in the end. I am so grateful for them all. I have read some amazing books, done online workshops and took the time to broaden my knowledge on all things life. I’ve grown as a mother, as a woman and most importantly as a person. I’ve grown more into myself than I ever have and I have no apologies for any of the choices that I have made this year. Every mistake of my past has taught me valuable lessons that have brought me to where I am today. I look forward to many more lessons in the future and I welcome all experiences that will enlighten me in who I am, where I am meant to go and what I am meant to be doing. I welcome whatever the future brings because I know that I am strongly rooted in a higher power that no man can overcome and with my maker in me, breathing life, wisdom, peace and joy into me I am always going to be on the right path.

I am the result of every choice I’ve ever made every day of my life. I welcome 2019 with open arms and look forward to whatever it has to offer. I have no resolutions that I am going to start on the 1st day of the new year , but I do promise that no matter where I am and what I am doing, I will always try my best to be a better as a person than I was before, to do more for society did I did before and to always take the time to grow in knowledge, in spirit and in experiences, as I did this year and as I will do every year that I am blessed with the opportunity to live in this world filled with hope and beauty for me to explore and indulge.
